Event Planning: This Baby Shower Is Modern and Sophisticated

We assume you’re all familiar with Max and Margaux Wanger? The beautiful duo behind Max & Friends? Yes, well, they’re having a baby boy in a few weeks (who will also undoubtably be gorgeous), and lucky for all of us, the ladies of Bash, Please threw them a sweet little shower to celebrate. It’s simple and perfect and really all that anyone needs to properly shower a mama-to-be with love. And pressies.

Nothing that screams BOY, but it’s seems like the little mister would feel right at home here.

Cute cake from Charm City Cakes West, no?

Love this idea for a baby shower game! And hey, if any of you have ideas, feel free to share in the comments. Bet M+M would appreciate it. And dreaming up baby names is such a fun way to pass the time.

Our first favorite is this amazing garden-inspired wedding cake. The pink ruffles frosting and floral accents are stunning, and the colorful cake stand conveys a high-spirited, yet relaxed summer gathering to us.

Number 2: This DIY wedding wreath is fabulous! It's made of elements that can be echoed throughout the decor, in centerpieces, boutineers, and the bridal bouquet: magnolia leaves, artichoke foliage, peony, tulips, lilies, and fern.

5 Great Love Feasts - Our Favorite Wedding Spreads

If you're into "eye candy" and out-of-this-world tastes, a wonderful wedding food presentation is difficult to beat. We love the way 100 Layer Cake - one of our favorite wedding blogs - covers a variety of top weddings. They certain give us great ideas for the events we're either going to plan for other happy couples or planning for our own walk-down-the-aisle events.

Here are 5 of our favorite recent weddings from 100 Layer Cake. Click on the photographs to read about each wedding, and see how this gorgeous food fits in with the rest of the wedding decor and overall festivities.

#1 - Above and below, a winter wedding scene in rustic Prince Edward Island, Canada, brings on visions of heart-shaped marshmallows floating in hot chocolate, divine treats, and elegant, tailored cakes.

#2 - *Magical* is the only way to describe the next wedding, in an elaborate treehouse setting in a California forest - even with a musical babbly brook flowing nearby. An oversized mosquito netting protects the woodland treats, and a formal forest reception with to-die-for desserts couldn't be more amazing.
