Jewelry Inspiration: Seaside Summer Fun Rings

 

The Carrotbox is a site dedicated to all those wonderful rings made of glass, lucite, resin, plastic, jade, wood, bakelite, metal, and even stone. Alice Matsumoto from Vancouver, BC, Canada has a ring shop and has kindly given us permission to inspire our jewelry lovers at Sheffield with her discoveries. I wanted to find something in Alice's archives that would remind us of summer, and I thought these were the perfect beach rings.

This is the work of UK jeweller Hollie Paxton and her fun "Seaside" collection. Hollie's designs have been worn in a BBC documentary and a motion picture, she's sold creations through Harvey Nichols, and she produced a 60-piece collection for the UK Music Hall of Fame, with pieces given to Beyonce, James Brown, and Gordon Brown. 

Bonus link: Despite being in Colorado, Lisa Wells is also inspired by the sea. Check out her site, Reliquiae Jewelry, for an assortment of embellished rings, including her "Oxidized Sterling Silver Anemone Ring" and "Oxidized Sterling Silver Reef Ring."
