We Love Valentine's Day Jewelry Promotions
Jay Johnson - Love is in the air, and as we approach Valentine's Day, we're going to be bombarded with ads and videos and online enticements to make purchases for our significant others and sweethearts ... or just break down and buy that big box of chocolates as a you've-made-it-through-the-week-intact gift to yourself!
I've bumped into some nifty Valentine's Day jewelry promotions that I wanted to share with you. Jewelry is one of those gifts that has meaning when one person gives a bit of bling to another, but it's becoming increasingly common for people to buy jewelry as a treat to oneself (read about the self-gifting jewelry trend right here). If you're a jewelry designer, you'll want to tie your craft into seasonal promotions that have special meaning, from Valentine's Day to Father and Mother's Day. Here's a "Sweet Treats" video I found created by Holly Smith for the Charming Charlie accessories chain.
Tippy Stockton Jewelry puts her Lil Crush Necklace to good use in this Valentine's Day ad.
And I love this ad for Tiffany & Co. Valentine's Day charms ...
... and this one, too!
My favorite Valentine's Day jewelry ad is the Mukhi Sisters daring declaration of independence for women who buy their own holiday bling - click here to see the ad.
As lead curriculum developer for Sheffield School, I'm fascinated with how craftspeople market jewelry. If you're interested in learning more about jewelry design, then I encourage you to explore the Sheffield School, New York, NY. Sheffield began as an Interior Design school in 1985, and then expanded our course offerings to train people in other design-related fields, including Feng Shui, Wedding and Event Planning, and Jewelry Design. With thousands of active students and more than 50,000 graduates, Sheffield has trained more design professionals than any school in the world.
