Time for Sprouting Green

(Photo: Sprout Watch)But best of all Sprout watches uses at least 80% recycled materials. The watch case above is made of corn resin which is 99% biodegradable. The watch lens is made from mineral crystal rather than plexiglass. Since mineral crystal is a type of glass which is really just sand, the lens can be recycled. The watch face is made from bamboo – an easily renewable plant - or from mother- of-pearl. The strap is made from certified organic cotton – cotton that is grown without use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

I didn't know you can make watches from recycled materials. That is awesome. Not only it is eco-friendly, it's also looks very nice and pretty. I think I like the green design better than the orange one. I might consider buying one when my current white ceramic watch breaks in the future, hope not too soon. If not I can always buy one for my family members. We should buy things as eco friendly as much as possible.
