A Tree Grows In...your wedding favor?

Wedding favors are terribly tricky; they are meant to be meaningful, well-priced, and eternal. A lot to ask of a bulk item! But a branch of the Florida-based Magnolia Company called Seeds of Life offers a unique option that answers all of these concerns: the wedding favor of a tree.

Live gift trees from the Magnolia Company

A tree? Yes, a tree. And no, not a full-grown, "we sponsored a tree in the Brazilian rainforest in your name" tree, but a live rooted oak tree seed, tucked in rich soil and ready to sprout. Seeds of Life wraps these organic jewels in wee beribboned boxes to create a perfect gift, and the boxes are available in a variety of combinations to match with any color scheme.

The gift boxes can be further customized with a charming tag celebrating the bride and groom.

The practical concerns at the root of it are minimal. As Matt Roth from the Magnolia Company explained to us, all of the favors are guaranteed to grow into a seedling with just a little moisture, and each can last (incredibly!) in the specially-designed favor box for up to three weeks without water. Finally, the staff at Seeds of Life selects each seed by growing region, to guarantee satisfaction for every guest regardless of where they live. Could it be any easier?

According to the criterion of a great wedding favor, the Seeds of Life gift trees are a home run. Meaningful? Of course - literally a nod towards Mother Earth, and figuratively a nod towards deeply-rooted love. Well-priced? With volume scaled pricing, Seeds of Life enables sizable discounts for brides and grooms buying in bulk. And eternal? Well, now really. What is more timeless than a mighty oak?

I am interested in the first picture. very nice live gift trees.
one question, how long they will be able to live in such conditions?

Very creative ideas for presents and not only in case of weddings. Sometimes it is very hard to find exact idea for gift-wrap for particular person.

That really is such a sublime idea, just wish I had known about it when I got married a few years ago. It's something to remember the special day by.

I create wedding arrangements but have not heard of this before! Could be quite expensive but I think I'm going to look into this for my wedding services because it's pretty cool!

Very nice and interesting story

That's a really interesting wedding favor. I've been with my boyfriend for a while now and I've told him that when we get married and move into a house I want him to plant a rosebush for me and keep it alive for all our lives.

There are some more tips for wedding planning at my website.

I have seen, heard and received various wedding favors from edible ones to wine glasses, picture frames, trinkets, baskets but I haven't seen a tree wedding favor until just now! All I can say is "Wow"!

Brilliant idea, I was married last year, wish I thought of this.

I found that bonsai trees are great gift for all occasions. I gave one last year to my sister who was getting married she really loves it. her and her husband can't get enough of it. Just when I thought the world was about to run out of ideas for gift and voila! We are now giving trees to each other. I think it's better than a fur coat.
