A Tree Grows In...your wedding favor?

Wedding favors are terribly tricky; they are meant to be meaningful, well-priced, and eternal. A lot to ask of a bulk item! But a branch of the Florida-based Magnolia Company called Seeds of Life offers a unique option that answers all of these concerns: the wedding favor of a tree.

Live gift trees from the Magnolia Company

A tree? Yes, a tree. And no, not a full-grown, "we sponsored a tree in the Brazilian rainforest in your name" tree, but a live rooted oak tree seed, tucked in rich soil and ready to sprout. Seeds of Life wraps these organic jewels in wee beribboned boxes to create a perfect gift, and the boxes are available in a variety of combinations to match with any color scheme.

The gift boxes can be further customized with a charming tag celebrating the bride and groom.

The practical concerns at the root of it are minimal. As Matt Roth from the Magnolia Company explained to us, all of the favors are guaranteed to grow into a seedling with just a little moisture, and each can last (incredibly!) in the specially-designed favor box for up to three weeks without water. Finally, the staff at Seeds of Life selects each seed by growing region, to guarantee satisfaction for every guest regardless of where they live. Could it be any easier?

According to the criterion of a great wedding favor, the Seeds of Life gift trees are a home run. Meaningful? Of course - literally a nod towards Mother Earth, and figuratively a nod towards deeply-rooted love. Well-priced? With volume scaled pricing, Seeds of Life enables sizable discounts for brides and grooms buying in bulk. And eternal? Well, now really. What is more timeless than a mighty oak?

I love them all.... stunning work. I would personally add some seed beads or designer beads which I do all the time for my customers.

I just had to comment on how much I like the seeds of life gift trees! I'm planning on mentioning them to a bride for her upcoming wedding. They are perfect!

I love the trees. I thought about who could give such an present because as a first grade family member you are expected to bring a larger gift but I came to the conclusion that everybody could give such a gift.

To your boyfriend or girlfriend even. Nice article, thanks.

Sounds like a good idea.

These are gorgeous, especially the Magnolia Company favors. I think they are especially meaningful and very trendy considering the new "eco awareness" of today's bride.

The Seeds of Life trees are very beautiful, but I don't find them as practical, especially if you have guests traveling via airplane. I don't think most airlines allow live plants aboard, so I'd double check just in case. Perhaps the vendor offers a shipping solution for out of town guests?

Planting trees might be a great way to ease our collective environmental conscience. But if we want to save the planet, perhaps we have been barking up the wrong tree. Help us to preserve trees by recycling your documents with nj paper shredding firm. Go to this website ecoshred.com.

Cool! wedding favors, actually i think, are the simplest form of ethical gesture for many brides and grooms to show their appreciation to their guests on their wedding. The giving of wedding favors is not mandatory, however, it has been a traditional practice for most couples in the past years to express their gratitude through these tiny and adorable memorabilia. Couples can choose either of the following types of wedding favors:(Check out these awesome WF on americanbridal.com

• coasters
• place card holders
• soap and bath favors
• bottle stoppers
• wedding bells
• candles
• edible wedding favors
• garden favors
• photo frames and albums
• cookie cutter
• key chains
