Wedding Style...Custom Menswear by Alton Lane
Open any bridal magazine and you will see a barrage of ads and articles all about attire - bridal attire that is. Every so often someone remembers there is a groom and a cadre of menfolk extending their arm-crooks for the dazzling bridesmaids - but not nearly often enough.
Enter Alton Lane, a bespoke menswear company that caters to groomsmen who care. Sporting a gorgeous collection of fully-customized and beautifully tailored shirts, suits, and accessories, Alton Lane's elegant booth at last week's New York Magazine Weddings Event stopped us in our tracks.
CEO Colin Hunter and Customer Experience Director C. Peyton Jenkins gave us the skinny on their company. The two friends left the financial world when they spied a gap in a menswear market otherwise saturated with tired rentals and store-bought suits.
Taking cues from bridal ateliers and adding a dose of masculine elegance, Alton Lane offers a premium old-world customer experience at it's studio, replete with leather couches, persian rugs, and strong spirits.
But these savvy youths knew better than to become enmired in the past - on the contrary, Alton Lane's repertoire emphasizes state-of-the-art tailoring technology. Using 3D electronic scans of the customer's body, they create an unprecented perfect fit, resulting in a suit that can - and should - stand up to the most exquisite bridal gown.
Not charmed yet? Well, consider this: Alton Lane donates 10% of every dollar they earn to charitable causes.
If you are a wedding planner or just planning your own, focus on the dream dress but don't forget about your men. Take a stroll down Alton Lane and get them dressed right.

I really like this blog. I've been wondering where I can learn how to become a real wedding planner. I have found many courses but they were kinda lacking something. Can I get some help here??
Good informative post-planning a wedding now seems to require some serious organisational skills..
A brother of one of our brides shopped at Alton Lane recently - he raved about the styles and his experience. Seems like it could be a big hit with grooms.
Good! I will come here often!
As a f&b director at a country club I couldn't agree more. We all know it's the brides "day" but we seem to forget that there are two people involved. I visiting NYC this summer and get what to check out all the great stores for grooms
Love the white and green shirt. Where can I buy it?
Fantastic stuff, especially for guys like me that has a waistline that always seems to be... ahem... fluctuating! A scan for my sizing? I love it! I work for a wedding videography business and I wear new suits all the time. This would help a lot!

Gorgeous wedding attires for men. Though rare, some people opt to have an Asian or Indian inspired theme for their Wedding. Personally indian wedding suits are appealing to me. Great post though.
So many words,I will feel scared,I think more pictures will be better. But it is just my opinion ,depends on you!

I am really loving the publication from the Sheffield School. I could not ask for too much of an inspiration from various jewelry designs. My focus though is on Charm Bracelets and chamilia beads at the moment. So I do invite you to check it out if you do get some time.
