Lovely lace stationery by Vera Wang
Flipping through a bridal magazine the other day, we were stopped dead by an ad for Vera Wang's exquisite lace wedding stationery. These laser-cut, embossed invitation pieces are both delicate and dramatic - and what is more bridal than that?
Swoon with us over these cards, inspired by Vera's dresses and accessories. The cream and white Alencon lace pieces mimic, in paper, a French needle technique in use since the 16th century and famous for its level of craft and preciousness.
What else did we see in these gorgeous pieces?
Stencils!
For a clever bride these detailed, flexible papers could be used to carry the motif across tablecloths, altar decorations, photo backdrops, vases, menus, programs...anything that can handle a little spray paint. Mon Dieu - decor, done!
