New York Institute of Career Development Launches with New Professional Blogging Course

Distance Education Co., owners of popular home-study schools New York Institute of Photography and Sheffield School, launches the New York Institute of Career Development to help students all over the world learn new skills and earn more money.

New York, NY – June 25, 2012.

The New York Institute of Career Development (NYICD) is a new home-study school providing an opportunity for students all over the world to learn new skills from the comfort of their own homes. NYICD’s initial course offering is the Complete Course in Professional Blogging, designed to provide students with a hands-on approach to blogging success.

NYICD teamed with professional bloggers around the world to put together a learn-from-home blogging course that is perfect for people new to the blogging world or those that have been blogging for years and are looking to create real growth. NYICD students can study at their own pace from anywhere in the world, but they will all have access to professional bloggers as their advisors and teachers via phone and email.

“Our train and mentor style of teaching provides students with the real-life support that it takes to succeed in this growing field,” said Chuck DeLaney, NYICD Director. “Our students are not left on their own to figure out how to succeed, we show them tried and true methods for improving their writing style, gaining readers, and making money with their blogs.”

New York Institute of Career Development has partnered with Squarespace to offer students access to a state-of-the-art website publishing platform that is easy to use and highly customizable. Every student registered in the course will be a given a free yearlong membership with Squarespace, where they can build a professional website complete with blogs, galleries, analytics, custom domains, social media integration and more.

"Our mission at Squarespace is to empower anyone to create exceptional websites regardless of technical ability," said Jesse Hertzberg, SVP of Operations & Business Development for Squarspace. "We're thrilled to partner with NYICD and help students express themselves more creatively in the digital space."
