Thanksgiving Day Special: Jewelry Designer from Turkey
Klimt02 is a website that provides an international forum for contemporary jewelry in a creative space that offers knowledge, information, debates, and exchanges - all within the artistic realm of jewelry. Based in Barcelona, Spain, Kilmt02 inspires everyone interested in the selection, quality, art, technology, and creation of art jewelry. Sheffield School has kindly been given permission to share works of global designers here on our website. Today's Turkey Day focus is on a few of our favorite contemporary jewelry pieces from Turkey (sorry for the play on words, but I couldn't resist!).

Statement
As children we used to find ourselves going back to the idealized, enchanted world of fairy tales: A battle of absolute good versus absolute evil takes place in spellbound woods, where brave knights and beautiful ladies live side by side with fairies and frogs. I make my jewelry for the ones who are still captivated by that magical world. Like the relation between puppeteer and puppet, my pieces come to life through the body of the ‘wearer.’ In this ritual, jewelry is both an instrument and a participant. Being still under the influence of conventional goldsmithing materials like gold, silver, and precious stones, I explore their souls to create ‘magic.’
