Art for Everyone - Open Invite

(West Elm and 20x200)Have you always wanted to learn more about art collecting and how to display art?  Look no further! West Elm, in conjunction with 20x200 Gallery, is sponsoring a design class this Saturday, August 27th, on this very subject.  Jen Bekman, founder of 20x200, believes in art for everyone.  She launched her gallery of affordable art in the Lower East Side in New York and has attracted artists from all over the country.

The design class is going to be held at West Elm's 1870 Broadway Store.  Call them to RSVP: 212-247-8077.  Many of the artists' work will be available at the store so you can also start your collection too!

I can't wait to learn from Jen Beckman. Everyone should really attend. Any idea how many people are registered to attend?

This was not an ordinary day at the gallery: it was a Master Highlighter Event, a two-day guest appearance by one of Kinkade's specially trained assistants, who would highlight any picture bought during the event for free. Highlighting a picture is not that different from highlighting your hair: it entails stippling tiny bright dots of paint on the picture to give it more texture and luminescence.
