That Clinton Style

Okay, you've seen the photos. You've read the stories. And you're still probably wondering, what kind of style did that wedding have, anyway?
The photo we've led with on this post is from TMZ. It's reportedly a shot of the goods from the gift bag given to guests at the wedding.
The wedding photo we've seen the most, online and in print, is this great shot by Genevieve De Manio, which we found at the New York Times online.
So we know the dress is Vera Wang, and we know that Chelsea has grown into her features, which now making her look strikingly beautiful as opposed to horsey as she did as a teenager.
We know there was a phalanx of white chairs set in front of the Astor Palace, we see she carried a simple white bouquet, we know it was a picture-perfect day for an outdoor summer wedding. But now that the dishes are cleared and the floor is swept, could some enterprising cub reporter please ferret out some details, like the style of the invitations, or the color scheme of the reception? Guest gift bags? If Chelsea's wedding is going to influence the style of weddings for next summer, we need to know!

I found the Clinton's wedding to be an example of a "traditional" wedding. I did not find anything new, or original...or avant guarde in her wedding...
As a trend, this type of wedding was not new among a certain type of upper end "old money" client, that wishes to maintain a certain status quo.
Everything was so oriented toward "white" that I'm also seeking a color scheme, but there really doesn't seem to be one. I'm proud of Chelsea for sticking to her guns and actually downplaying any kind of unusual or new trend. This young lady will do well and I'm sure she enjoys peace and quiet after the tumult her family has put her through her entire life.
And I agree, it would be interesting to find out other details of the Clinton wedding.
Hello again,
I found a picture of Chelsea Clinton's brides maids wearing a shade of toned down aqua blue and carrying what appears to be pink and white flowers. Aqua and turquoise is already a trend at this time, so its not anything new.
What amazed me was that I was always told that light summer colors were most appropriate for weddings, and that "black" should never be worn to a wedding at any time of the year. However, many attendees to the Clinton's wedding wore very dark colors, actually "hot" winter colors including black.
I'm now wondering who the "wedding planner" was for Chelsea's wedding or if she had one? Any comments?
The wedding planner was Brian Rafanelli. He did a great job keeping things under wraps. Including the location, even the guests didn't know it until a few days prior. Not many pictures to be found out there.
