New Concert Hall Look


You may think that all the grand old venues in New York and other major cities are such icons that they will forever be the same. While it is hard to imagine Carnegie Hall as anything but Carnegie Hall, other venues do get reimagined and rebuilt.Among them, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. It's now been redesigned by the architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and is featured in The New Yorker.

Beautiful interior. Wow. Does the rest of the construction rub anyone the wrong way? The Julliard stuff?
