The Sheffield School is proud to announce the launch of our 4^th Course today. Say hello to Jewelry Design: Beading & Wire Working.

We are excited to bring you this new course, which we have been working on for the last year. It’s a great course that was put together with the help of some of the New York Metropolitan Area’s finest experts in Jewelry Design.

The course will teach anyone with an interest in jewelry how to create their own unique jewelry using simple and more advanced beading and wiring techniques. We’ll also teach you how to market and sell your jewelry both online and at craft shows.

Like all of our Courses, Jewelry Design: Beading & Wire Working comes complete with beautifully illustrated lesson books, CD’s, DVD’s, and fun yet challenging design projects that are there to test what you’ve learned in each unit. Every student will have access to a personal student advisor who is a professional jewelry designer there to guide you through the entire course.

Beautiful Things From Japan

If you think Japanese interior design means nothing more than shoji screens and tatami mats, take a look at the work of Japanese designer Oji Masanori. His pieces are elegant, spare, and you get the feeling that he's paid very close attention to every detail that goes into making a work of art.

On his website, he says, "I am mainly working on designing living products.I have dedicated myself in creating them while considering a design which may connect various things gently and comfortably everyday.I have designed not only a product itself but also its package and graphics while considering overall process of how a product is born."

Lotsa Los Angeles Design

Dwell on Design, the largest design event on the West Coast, is coming up at the end of the month in Los Angeles, so get ready. The event is taking place from June 25th- 27th at the LA Convention Center, and will be chock-full of exhibits, presenters, professional education series, tours and more.
