Green Fountain of Fortune

The recent Architectural Digest Show in NYC presented this water fountain that's perfect for the environment.  Flexi-Pave made the fountain from recycled passenger tires and aggregate, bound together with state of the art bonding. It is flexible, slip-resistant, non-toxic, a green product, non-flammable, and can come in different colors. As you can see in the picture these recycled pavers are round which means continuous chi flow with no stopping- very auspicious!

Feng Shui Front Door

The main door is called "The Mouth of Chi" in feng shui as this is how the house absorbs its much needed Chi, or energy nourishment. The intention of the front door allows money, health, a new job and relationships to come into the home. Energy and opportunity from the Universe comes to us through the front door. Paint the front door an attractive color that is different from the rest of the house. A Feng Shui entrance tip is to paint red to attract good fortune! Have adequate lighting in the front door area so opportunity can find a way in. Use live plants or flowers in the entrance to attract blooming possibilities. Remove unhealthy plants immediately.

Make sure the entrance is free of clutter. Have a bell with an appealing sound.   Spend some time standing at the front door area of the home and ask how does the home feel when it if first entered? That feeling is conveyed to others when they enter. If it feels welcoming and warm then the chi will flow!

Japanese Open Hearth Table

I went to the ICFF show in New York that showcases all kinds of innovative furniture design. I saw this great open hearth table made in Japan for sitting at and drinking a wonderful cup of tea while visiting with family and friends.  It is made of wood which makes it great for family area of the bagua; the element for this area is wood. The Woodcraft Moku products make use of the warmth, innate quality and natural shapes of Japanese solid wood, resulting in products that can be passed down from one generation to the next. The way the quality of wood is achieved  is through a unique and delicate hand-processing and hand finishing method that enhances the beauty of the wood grain. This open hearth table was crafted from a single tree that is over 300 years old.

Animal Lovers Can Use the Bagua

Many animal lovers have wondered where their doggy or kitty can sleep according to feng shui principles. The answer is buy this wonderful bunk bed for your animals to sleep in and put it in the Children Gua of the bagua which is in the West.  To many of us, our animals are like our children, so here is a great solution for them to have their own space to sleep and play!

I was at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in New York City and came upon this booth which had the cutest animal stuff from Lazy Bonezz! Check out their website for more information.
